The case managers at Nelson Langer Nelson
serve as paralegals and much more. They coordinate each step
in the legal process for our clients, ensuring that clients are
kept abreast of their cases' progress and their medical bills.
G.
Thomas Cunningham offers clients more than 20 years experience in
the legal community. As Tom points out, "It is a tremendous
sense of accomplishment and pride to know that my skills help obtain
compensation for people harmed by the negligence of others."
Early in his career, Tom served as a paralegal for an insurance
personal injury defense law firm. Preferring to advocate for the
victims of accidents instead of insurance companies, he joined Michael
Nelson in 1987. A valued team player, Tom is respected for his attention
to detail, familiarity with the Washington court systems and his
knowledge of insurance claims procedures.
Tom received a Bachelor of Arts in History
from Boise State University in 1977. His pastimes include a love
of music and the Seattle Sonics and Mariners.
John
Boone brings to the firm over 25 years' experience as a litigation
paralegal in large and small Washington and California law firms.
He specializes in disability insurance denial cases (ERISA), personal
injury litigation and product liability. John was involved in the
Washington and California asbestos litigations, the MGM Grand Hotel
fire litigation, and the E. coli class action against Jack-in-the-Box.
John loves playing softball and golf, and has been a Boy Scout leader
for the past 25 years.
Of his work, John says, "It can take a
lot of time and energy, but our clients need and deserve our best
efforts in acquiring the compensation they're entitled to. Being
part of a team working toward achieving that end is very rewarding."
Deanna Delisanti has been working
in the legal industry for over 14 years. She started out as a records
coordinator working on a class action lawsuit. Deanna takes a special
interest in assisting our clients in understanding and getting the
most out of their medical insurance benefits, and in helping coordinate
payments to healthcare providers from insurers. She says, "I
really appreciate the feedback and thanks I receive from clients
for helping coordinate their Personal Injury Protection payments.
It feels good to make the medical/legal process easier for our clients
to understand."
Nelson Langer Nelson contracts with qualified independent nurses to consult
on the medical aspects of personal injury claims. The nurse
consultants' responsibilities include interviewing clients and family
members, reviewing medical records, pinpointing medical issues and
discrepancies, conducting medical literature research, recommending
clinical experts and expert witnesses, and attending defense medical
examinations as our "watchdogs".
Anita Fahnlander, R.N., B.S.N., has worked as a medical-legal
consultant for more than 15 years, assisting hundreds of clients
and attending more than 500 defense medical examinations. Prior
to working with Nelson Langer Nelson, Anita was a practicing nurse
in the field of women's health. She has a particular interest in
alternative medicine and its use in pain reduction.
Anita earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing
from the University of Washington in 1978 and began practicing in
1979.
